Ozone Coffee Roasters (OCR), the speciality New Zealand coffee roasters, will open a brand new all-day eatery with pizzeria, cocktail bar and coffee roastery on Emma Street, Bethnal Green in October.
Staying true to its Kiwi roots, Ozone will create an environment where guests are encouraged to use the new 100 cover space as an eatery, café, office, living room or private event space. With a dedication to provenance, Ozone’s food and drink menus celebrate local suppliers and their produce - both in the coffee cup and on the plate.
The food menus will focus on sustainable, whole-cycle cooking and dishes will be nourishing without compromising on flavour. Ozone’s new site will serve its renowned all-day menu which will flow effortlessly from breakfast to brunch, into the afternoon and onto a separate dinner menu of small and large plates.
Breakfast and brunch dishes include Smoked Cornish mackerel on rye with kombu chilli jam, salted and the lunch menu will consist of dishes such as British yellow pea falafel with hummus, beetroot kraut, shoots & savoury scroggin.
The evening menu will be a combination of small and larger plates with dishes that include House linguini with kina butter, sea herbs & cured yolk. Ozone will also serve pizzas from the central open kitchen daily from 12pm, using a properly fermented dough and simple seasonal toppings.
On the coffee menu, Ozone will serve specialty coffee which they source direct from a variety of origins around the world, and the cocktail list will feature several refreshing options which reflect Ozone’s coffee heritage. An example of this includes the Cold Drip Negroni, gin, campari, sweet vermouth and cold drip coffee.
From a small township in provincial New Zealand, OCR has evolved into a world leading coffee roastery under the direction of Managing Director, Craig Macfarlane and Chief Executive, Karla Gichard. In 2012, Ozone Coffee Roasters opened a cafe and wholesale roastery in Shoreditch, London, with London-based co-owners James and Lizzie Gurr.
