BrewLDN announces food arenas & first traders for London beer festival


Excitement continues to build for London’s newest beer festival as BrewLDN announces food arenas and concepts, more industry-leading breweries plus Hoxton Radio DJs and Old Dirty Brasstards who will be joining DJ Artwork to provide the soundtrack for this all encompassing showcase from 27- 29 February 2020.

The Old Truman Brewery in London will become a warm and welcoming emporium of game changing beers, high quality street food, good-time DJs and plenty more offering real insights into some of the very best of food and drink. The 3 day event will incorporate 2 trade sessions and 4 consumer sessions, each hosting up to 200 exhibitor stands. Exhibitors include 150 independent and innovative breweries, cider producers, spirits, snack stands and street food traders.

Next to the world class beer offerings are some fantastic food concepts including BrewDINING, which will be hosted by Guinness Open Gate Brewery and Villa Ascenti Gin. At this special event, hosts will pour three collaboration beers and a high grade Italian gin and pair them with specially selected food dishes at your table. The drinks will match the flavour profiles of each dish making for a truly mouth watering and unique food and drink experience.

The latest brewery additions include Stewart Brewing, whose ‘Project 7’ is a series of limited edition beers exploring exciting and innovative styles such as an indulgent and full bodied white stout, aptly named White Russian, brewed with Colombian coffee. Redchurch brewery will bring their World Beer Award 2019 winning Redchurch Lager as well as other tipples such as their Smokey Monarch and Old Ford Export Stout.

We Are Hawkes will also be previewing their brand new Pineapple Punch, a pineapple co-fermented cider set to be huge next summer; like everything else on their line-up it is a gluten-free and vegan offering. Jameson’s Caskmates range will also be showcasing their Jameson Stout Edition and Jameson IPA Edition next to exclusive samples of the Caskmates Fourpure Limited Edition ; a whiskey rested in casks seasoned with Fourpure’s Shapeshifter IPA and finished with notes of tropical fruit.

The world renowned Timothy Taylors are bringing their Hopical Storm in keg format for the festival, which is a modern style, dry-hopped Pale Ale using all UK grown hops and all-female brewers Mothership bring their three newly launched beers - a Pale Ale, Unfiltered Lager and Tropical Chocolate Porter.

Salt Beer Factory have been working with Big Drop Brewing and a number of other brewers to produce a limited edition range of 0.5% ABV collaboration brews that will be showcased. Walthamstow’s 100% vegan brewery Pillars will pour their limited edition Icebock as well as Doppelbock, which is specifically created for the BrewLDN festival, and a German Amber Lager which is brewed in collaboration with TapEast in Stratford

At BrewKITCHEN, visitors will find two premier breweries paired with London street food traders who all complement each other. The first to be announced is Prairie Fire BBQ, London's only traditional Kansas City BBQ, who’ll be serving up slow smoked meats with award winning sauces such as Black Angus smoked Brisket and Oak smoked Scottish Salmon.

Beer snack favourites Serious Pig bring their legendary classics such as snacking salami and oven-roast pork crackling cured from top quality pork from the very best British farms. Ever popular Kolkati will also be attending with their knock-out Indian hot kati street food rolls.

On the music front, the 10-piece Old Dirty Brasstards are the country's leading live drum & brass band who cover everything from Chaka Khan to Nirvana in party-starting style. Joining them will be some of Hoxton Radio's finest DJs who will cover a wide range of sounds and bring with them plenty of the legendary spirit that makes their station one of London's finest. Of course, world renowned party starter, DJ Artwork will also be serving up the beats at his own fully branded pub.

BrewLDN is not just about fun and fine flavours but also innovation and they will be searching for the next generation of beer businesses with their BrewAccelerator start-up support scheme. Aimed at brewers or businesses that are less than 2 years old or brand new business ideas, applicants are encouraged to submit their plans online at www.brewldn.com.

If selected by a top team of expert industry judges successful applicants could win a year of guidance and mentoring (worth over £50k) as well as a stand in the main room at BrewLDN 2020.
