Greene King’s sales rise after Amazon Premier League fixtures launch


Greene King has reported a boost in drink sales, selling more than 250,000 pints at its 900 sports pubs which screened the first round of Premier League fixtures on Amazon on Tuesday evening.

With the six Wednesday night fixtures, including Manchester United versus Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool versus Everton, the UK’s leading managed pub company and brewer anticipated a significant increase in sales and expected more than 300,000 more pints to be sold.

Phil Thomas, chief commercial officer at Greene King, said, “We are delighted to report positive sales growth from the first set of Premier League matches on Amazon, which were screened across all of our sports pubs.

'With six matches screened on Wednesday, and two matches today, as well as the upcoming Boxing Day matches; football fans can enjoy all of the festive fixtures in more than 900 Greene King pubs nationwide.

More than 900 Greene King pubs will be showing all festive Premier League fixtures.
