New Shoreditch veggie eatery launches winter bowls

Atis, the recently opened plant-forward all-day cafe and restaurant in London's Shoreditch, has just launched its winter dishes.

Designed to warm up guests with bold and wintery flavours, there are three new indulgent bowls, packed with nutrients for an uplift on chilly days.

The first bowl is the Smoky Butterbean Stew made from smoky harissa butter beans with lemon-garlic rainbow chard, crumbly feta, baby spinach, toasted herby breadcrumbs and tahini yoghurt dressing. With multiple sources of vegetarian proteins, the Middle Eastern-inspired bowl will keep diners warm and energised.

The second bowl draws influence from India, comforting guests with a burst of warm flavours - the Squash Coco Curry, will consist of a squash and rainbow chard coconut curry, alongside wild rice, fresh spinach, beansprouts, coriander and crispy shallots.

To finish off, guests can enjoy the atis x Winter bowl (pictured), which is made up of roasted brussels sprouts, toasted pecans, dried cranberries, roasted Za’atar squash, shredded red cabbage, kale, topped up with a maple apple cider vinaigrette.

The new winter menu is now available with options to take-away or stay in. For diners wanting to sit back and enjoy their bowl in house, the eatery has just introduced a collection of eco-friendly bowls and cutlery, made from bamboo and corn.

Atis makes sure its values are aligned beyond food - pledging for a plant-forward ethos, founders Eleanor Warder and Phil Honer are also committed to promote sustainability and ethical sourcing in many aspects:
Packaging: diners can take-away their bowls in the site's signature containers from London Bio Packaging - bringing eco-friendly packaging which is 100% recyclable or compostable.
Food Waste: they’ve teamed-up with the Karma app, to make sure that unsold food doesn’t go to waste. They also use First Mile as its waste management provider, which is committed to zero-to-landfill.
Ethics: they have partnered with UK-based Cotton Roots and Impact Trading, who use organic cotton to make clothing that is fairly made, ethically sourced and sustainable.

In addition, both soap and hand cream at Atis are from East London ethical luxury brand Soap Co, which are paraben- and cruelty-free, and handcrafted in the UK by people who are blind, disabled or disadvantaged.
