Fourpure pledges 10,000 pints for key workers

Fourpure Brewing Co. has promised 10,000 pints for those working on the frontline, to recognize the incredible contribution made by key workers during the COVID-19 crisis.

The Bermondsey-based brewery is making 5,000 crowlers available to NHS workers, firefighters, police and other critical workers. With any order, no minimum spend applies, those that qualify for the offer simply need to provide their email address (including @nhs.net @gov.co.uk etc) via Fourpure’s online shop during checkout.

The brewery, which started in 2013, has seen a 6000% increase in revenue through its web shop since the start of the year. They wanted to use this increased reach and the resource behind it to say thank you to those key workers who have worked so hard to support the community through this challenging time.

As an added bonus, the crowler, which is a large can of beer containing almost two pints, will be filled fresh with Monsoon, a beer that historically has only been available as a specialty super-fresh Pale Ale direct to the on-trade in London, and is now available nation-wide via this scheme giving key workers a taste of the brewery’s Basecamp bar, at home.

Adrian Lugg, head of marketing, said, “It’s a tough time for so many people at the moment and while pub customers made up about half of sales volume pre lockdown, due to the strength of our online and off-trade channels we’ve been lucky enough to continuing brewing.

'We’ve been able to keep our team safe and protect jobs, and it felt only right to say thank you to key workers from all of us here at Fourpure, in the best way we know how… with a crowler of serious tasty, fresh beer.”

In addition, Fourpure Brewing Co. is also supporting The Drinks Trust with an upcoming activity on social media to win the ultimate beer garden in your back garden. The brewer has teamed up with Sonos speakers and Ooni pizza ovens to create a prize package worth over £1,200.

Fans will be entered into the prize drawer once for every £1 they donate to The Drinks Trust via Fourpure’s JustGiving page and the brewer are kicking the fundraising off with £500. The Drinks Trust is providing vocational, financial and well-being support for those in the hospitality industry and affected by closures.
