Sam’s Riverside to welcome Rick Stein Restaurants top chef for events

Stephane Delourme, Group Head Chef of Rick Stein Restaurants, (pictured), will join Sam Harrison and Head Chef Ashley Tinoco for a short series of special events at Sam’s Riverside in London W6, this November.

The five ticketed services will kick off with dinner on 16 November, followed by lunch and dinner on 17 and 18 November. (The events had been scheduled for last year but were cancelled due to Covid restrictions.)

The four-course menu will include dishes by both chefs, making the most of the season’s produce from some of their favoured suppliers, including Carlingford Oysters, A Passion for Seafood, Spanish Ham Master José Sol, Sciascia Bakery, Gusbourne English sparkling, Ellis Wines, and Phoenix Farm in White City.

The menu includes:
Canapés and a glass of Gusbourne English sparkling on arrival
Queen scallops and salpicón dressing
Razor clams, Cornish white crab meat, Jamón Ibérico de Bellota
Tronçon of Cornish turbot, girolles, chicken jus
Apple crumble soufflé, Calvados ice cream
Optional supplements: Half a dozen Carlingford oysters, Three cheeses

Sam Harrison worked as General Manager at Rick & Jill Stein’s The Seafood Restaurant in Padstow from 1997-2001, during which time Delourme was Head Chef, and they have remained close friends. Delourme spent 20 years in the role before being appointed Group Head Chef in 2019, overseeing Rick and Jill Stein’s restaurants across the UK.

Harrison said, “I am so excited to welcome Stephane to Sam’s Riverside, especially after having cancelled the events last year. We had such a great time working together in Padstow – a Frenchman and a Londoner doing our thing in Cornwall! Twenty years later and here we are, with the same passion for hospitality and food. I think these events are going to be really fun.”
