West Birmingham Co-op reveals new look after £48k makeover

A community food store in west Birmingham where colleagues have been going above and beyond to support locals during these uncertain times has been given a fresh new look following an investment of £48k.

The Central England Co-op in Quinton has received a raft of updates to give it a fresher, lighter feel and to include several new ranges and features to boost its offering to the local community.

This follows other notable investments by the retailer in the area in recent months, including over half a million spent on transformations of stores in Brandhall, Chelmsley Wood, Harborne, Kings Heath and Erdington.

The community food store in Quinton Road West has been undergoing a makeover in recent weeks with changes including:
• An updated product range to better reflect customers’ requirements
• New features such as a brand-new Costa Coffee machine
• New internal signage and decoration

Store Manager Julie Stanley said: “The investment in our store has given the whole team a real boost and the store looks fresher and sharper, with the new features like the brand-new Costa Coffee machine proving really popular.

“It’s been great to hear really positive comments from our customers about the improvements and I would like to thank the community for their patience while the work has been completed but I hope they agree with us that it has been worth it.”

The Quinton Food Store is open every day 7am-9pm. The store has a wide range of products from everyday necessities to something a little more special and also offers a lifesaving defibrillator, cash machine, Lottery, Collect Plus/Paypoint and an instore bakery.
