Caminata, the artisan Italian restaurant in Balham, SW12, has opened its first cloud kitchen in Nine Elms, SW8, allowing it to extend its delivery area to the Nine Elms and Battersea neighbourhoods of southwest London.
Since its launch more than a decade ago, Caminata has become a firm favourite among Balham residents thanks to its ever-evolving menu of fresh pasta and pizzas, made from scratch every day with organic British flour.
The pizza, which has been voted the best in Balham on Tripadvisor, is created using sourdough which is left to ferment for 48 hours to make it irresistibly light and fluffy. Even the mayonnaise and sauces are made in-house using local and seasonal ingredients.
Delivery highlights include burrata filled with truffles (£9.50); lamb ragu tagliatelle with saffron, ricotta and pecorino cheese (£13); and calabrese sourdough pizza with ’nduja, roast peppers, scamorza cheese, mozzarella, tomato and caramelised red onion (£12.50). Gluten-free pizzas are also available.
The new Caminata Nine Elms delivers its Mediterranean cuisine, made to order, in 100% recyclable packaging. It is open Monday to Sunday, 12pm to 11pm and will be available via both Deliveroo and Uber Eats.
