Greene King Pub Partners invests £150k in two pubs with multiple operator

Two investments completed by Greene King Pub Partners with multiple operator, Josh Khan of Vital Events (UK) Litd has firmly put the premium pub stamp on his pubs.

£100k was invested in a refurbishment at The Broad Face pub in Abingdon, Oxfordshire, and a further £50k has given a new look and feel at The King Charles Tavern in Newbury, Berkshire.

Khan, a former doctor arrived in the UK from Siberia 20 years, but wasn’t able to convert his medical qualifications due to the cost. Khan went on to run a restaurant under the mentorship of acclaimed French chef, Ollie Couillard, and took his first pub, The King Charles Tavern in 2014 and The Broad Face in 2016.

Speaking about his partnership with Greene King Pub Partners, Khan said, “Greene King Pub Partners took a risk with me. I had never operated a pub before and they wanted the King Charles Tavern to be a real pub with premium offer.

'I persuaded them that I was the right candidate and that I understood that pubs were central to British society. With the investments at both sites completed we’ve been able to really establish their reputations as quality pubs.”
