Seasoned, the venue management and event catering experts, have been awarded a three-year contract at the Royal College of Nursing’s Head Office at 20 Cavendish Square, located just off Oxford Street. The contract will encompass internal hospitality for the 360 RCN staff, tenants and members from across the UK who regularly attend meetings and events, external hospitality for commercial clients from various other sectors and the onsite café in the Library and Heritage Centre.
This exquisite Grade II listed town house is rich in history and boasts 14 versatile event spaces that blend beautiful Georgian architecture and contemporary design with state-of-the-art facilities, catering and audio-visual technology. The venue can host everything from workshops and seminars to large-scale conferences, events and drinks receptions for up to 200 guests. The Seasoned culinary team, with the support of nutritionist and registered dietitian Helen Phadnis, will introduce a brand-new range of well-balanced, nourishing hospitality menus to help boost delegate energy and engagement. All menus will be freshly made from scratch from the onsite kitchens using the finest locally sourced wholesome seasonal ingredients, providing an unrivalled and professional service to the RCN’s staff, members, clients and visitors.
Seasoned are also collaborating with one of their existing partners, social entrepreneur and founder of NEMI teas, Pranav Chopra, to create an innovative new café solution at 20 Cavendish Square which will encapsulate and respect the RCN’s core values. Together the team will be opening a second ‘Trampoline’ social enterprise café which will ‘inspire others to greater heights’ and be a springboard to create social impact through employment and training opportunities.
Chopra founded the original ‘Trampoline’ café on Angel’s Camden Passage to help London’s refugee community integrate, train and become independent citizens. Built on the values of looking forward, being compassionate, and believing in better, the café is a genuine force for good, building and maintaining relationships that transform lives. He said; “We are thrilled to collaborate with Seasoned and the RCN, as it marks a significant milestone in our journey to expand our social enterprise café model since the inception of our first Trampoline Café in Angel. The shared ethos of all three organisations sets the stage for what I am confident will be a tremendous success, benefiting both our customers and our efforts to offer hospitality training and employment opportunities to a greater number of refugees.”
The delicious new café menu has been created by Trampoline’s resident Chef Yogeswaran ‘Yogi’ Sivakolundu and will be jam-packed with a unique mix of global influences including British, Indian and Sri Lankan flavours and will offer something truly unique to the local W1 neighbourhood. Operating under the Seasoned management team and under the ‘Trampoline’ brand, the new café in the Library and Heritage Centre promises to bring a bright, bold, friendly and optimistic vibe to a pretty little corner of Cavendish Square.
Charles Beer, Senior Partner of Seasoned said “We are honoured to be partnering with the Royal College of Nursing as it emphasises our dedication and desire to collaborate with like-minded organisations to build outstanding relationships that deliver mindful culinary excellence with positive social impact. We are also really excited to further develop our partnership with Pranav and Chef Yogi who is a genuinely inspiring beneficiary of the social enterprise. We all share a mutual passion for what we do and we are looking forward to spreading our ‘social goodness’ together by giving meaningful employment and training to economic migrants and refugees in the new ‘Trampoline’ café. This new partnership aligns perfectly with the social values that matter deeply to both Seasoned and the RCN, making it a natural fit.”
Andy Cowan, Business Director at the Royal College of Nursing added: “Following a robust and extensive procurement process, we are delighted to be partnering with Seasoned to provide the hospitality service at our 20 Cavendish Square venue. Their flexible approach and delicious food offering will add real value to our client’s meetings and events. Trampoline is an exciting café concept and a force for good, working with refugee communities to support integration and independence. We hope this will be drive new customers into our building and bring an exciting lunchtime food offering and café to the W1 area”.
