Nisa has appointed Taranjit Singh Dhillon as its new head of retail, following the departure of Victoria Lockie. Lockie left Nisa after 12 years to take up the role of retail director at Unitas Wholesale.
Dhillon joins Nisa from One Stop, where he worked for 11 years, most recently as national operations manager. In this role, Dhillon oversaw a network of 350 franchisees, collaborated with retail teams to improve store layouts, and implemented strategies aimed at boosting revenue and profitability.
Before joining One Stop, Taranjit Singh Dhillon held senior positions at Lidl and PepsiCo.
In his new role as head of retail at Nisa, he will oversee the development and execution of Nisa's retail strategy, focusing on enhancing performance across the company's diverse network of customer stores.
Katie Secretan, director of sales and retail at Nisa, said: “I’m thrilled to have Taranjit join the Nisa team. His hands-on experience in independent retail and ability to build franchise relationships is exactly what we need to take our retailer proposition to the next level, and I’m confident he’s the right person to lead our retail team.
“Taranjit’s fresh ideas and proven success in driving growth will be key in helping us achieve our long-term strategy.”
Dhillon added: “This is an exciting time for independent retailing and I’m delighted to be joining Katie and the dynamic team at Nisa. I look forward to using my experience to enhance our proposition, help drive recruitment, and continue delivering value for our retailers.”
The appointment comes as Secretan bolsters her teams to help deliver Nisa’s ambitious growth plans, with further appointments to follow later in the year.
