Caffè Nero has acquired the London-based independent FCB Coffee for an undisclosed amount.
This marks the group's second acquisition in recent weeks, following the purchase of Nottingham-based 200 Degrees at the end of October.
FCB operates 11 locations, primarily in transport hubs across London and the South East, with its first kiosk opening in 1998.
Nero Group founder and CEO Gerry Ford said: “I’m very pleased to bring FCB into our group.'
“Its stores offer commuters in transport locations very high-quality coffee.'
“This is part of our strategy to provide customers with premium coffee no matter where they might be. As the coffee market develops, we continue to be focused on the premium, specialty coffee category.”
The Nero Group consists of five brands: Caffè Nero, Coffee #1, Harris + Hoole, Aroma, and its newest addition, 200 Degrees.
The acquisition of FCB will expand the group's presence in key commuting hubs, bringing its total number of UK sites to over 50.
