Boutique budget hotel operator Bloc Hotels, are set to open their second hotel after securing a site at Gatwick Airport.
Their first property opened in Birmingham last year and the company have since had a successful year with more exciting projects apparently already in the pipeline. The new 245-bedroom hotel will be developed on the site of an existing office building (Norfolk House) at the top of the airport’s South Terminal featuring runway views. Bloc has been granted planning permission to refurbish the property as well as a full replacement of the building.
Work is due to start this October with the opening likely to be in autumn 2013.
