Bristol-based Loungers is launching its ninth Cosy Club tomorrow in Birmingham, with others planned to follow this summer in Manchester, Leamington and Coventry.
Loungers has invested £1.2m on refurbishing one of Birmingham’s finest historic buildings, the Grade II-listed former Midland Bank on the corner of Bennetts Hill and Waterloo Street.
The brunch menu, which is available until 6pm, offers burgers, tapas dishes, paninis and sandwiches. The main menu features 8 and 10 oz steaks, seafood platters and free-range pork belly. Desserts include peanut butter cheesecake, Eton mess, and sticky toffee pudding. Gluten-free and vegan options are also available.
Barista coffee from Clifton Coffee, smoothies and freshly-made lemonade are among the beverages that will be available to drink in or take away.
As well as Cosy Club’s own craft ale, there are two regularly changing local guest beers, including Froth Blowers’ Bar-King Mad.
The bar will be open from 9am, seven days a week, closing at 11pm on Monday to Wednesday, midnight on Thursday and at 1am on Friday and Saturday.
