Loungers to expand with 25 new sites over next year

The fast-expanding Bristol-based cafe bar chain, Loungers is planning to expand its chain of 62 bars with 25 new sites over the next year, with a sale or floatation in mind.

The raft of planned openings included a new Bristol branch of Loungers which is to open in Clevedon's historic cinema, Curzon Community Cinema. The group is investing £750k in the site to transform it into Teatro Lounge.

The chain, which started life in Bedminster in 2002, will boast 68 branches across the UK by the time Teatro opens this autumn.

The chain operates under its Cosy Club and Lounge brands and operates sites in Cardiff, Manchester, Birmingham and Brighton.
