Itsu is set to open 17 July in Cambridge city centre just a few stores down from the newly-opened Wasabi outlet, creating 24 jobs.
The healthy eating Japanese brand offers a menu featuring 64 freshly prepared dishes to eat in or takeaway. These include protein packed low carb salads, hot chicken noodle soups, brown rice pots, sushi and sashimi, as well as frozen yoghurt and smoothies.
Over 120 people queued up for the opening of Wasabi which offered its first 25 visitors free food for a year, and a free meal for the first 100.
Other restaurants serving Japanese food in Cambridge include Japas Sushi, U-Sushi, Teri-Aki, Ohayo Sushi, Genki, and Wagamama.
