Retro American trend comes to Manchester

Retro American-themed restaurant Infamous Diner opens in Manchesters Northern Quarter’s next week.

The 1950s-inspired all-American diner is certainly a feast for the eyes, with pink leather booths, black and white floors, LA neon lighting and marble-topped bar.

The new £1m restaurant on the edge of the Northern Quarter is the latest from entrepreneur Mark Andrew, the man behind food and drink successes Walrus, Hula and Rosylee also in the Northern Quarter.

There is seating for up to 90 in the venue, and the retro raspberry pink booths conveniently have a sliding divider so that parties of up to 18 can all sit together too.

The menu is, naturally, an all-American feast - with a whole host of burger options - all priced at £8.95 - as well as a full breakfast menu, hot dogs, fresh made waffles and milkshakes as well as the classic American diner offering of coffee with free refills.

There’s also a full cocktail menu, 20 different bourbons and an all-American beer and wine selection.
