Coca-Cola sees revenue dip but net profit rise


The Coca-Cola Company has reported second quarter 2015 operating results with a net revenue dip of 3% to $12.2bn but net profit rose 19% to $3.1bn.

The beverage giant reported that global volume grew by of 2%, and year-to-date cash from operations rose by 14% to a record $5.1bn.

Coca-Cola has been cutting costs, reducing the size of drinks bottles and cans, and increasing advertising spending as it responds to consumers’ shift away from fizzy drinks, especially those with artificial flavours, and packaged in large volumes.
