Topland Group is to merge its chains of Hallmark and Menzies hotels to create a combined Hallmark Hotels brand, and plans to refurbish the portfolio of 20 sites.
The company acquired the eight-strong four-star Hallmark Hotels estate for around £75m in July last year, and the Menzies portfolio was acquired in November 2013 and operated by Bespoke Hotels.
One of the UK’s largest private real estate firms, Topland’s hotel portfolio currently stands at 30 venues across the country, and include The Royal Crescent Hotel in Bath, a portfolio of Hilton hotels, a portfolio of Thistle hotels, and the Welcome Break in North London.
