Independent boutique cinema operator, The Everyman Group is hoping to open its first cinema in the North East of England after choosing Durham as its first location in the region.
The Everyman Group has agreed terms with the developer of the city’s new Milburngate development, which is set feature a high-quality mix of homes, offices, bars, and restaurants as well as the proposed cinema.
Everyman Group was founded by entrepreneur Daniel Broch in 2000 and offers a mixture of regular box office films as well as film festivals, special events and screening and live Q&A’s. Its cinemas feature fully licensed bars and food, and targets high-end cinemagoers with plush seats and waiter service. It currently has 16 cinemas in the South East and London.
