Holiday camp group, Pontin's has been bought out of administration by Britannia Hotels. The hotel company intends to safeguard the jobs of 850 staff at the five parks. The new owners are estimated to have paid around £20m for the holiday parks and intend to improve the existing facilities
The Pontin's sites are based at Brean Sands, Somerset; Camber Sands, East Sussex; Pakefield, Suffolk; Prestatyn Sands, North Wales and Southport, Merseyside.
Britannia Hotels is a leading privately owned company and currently operates 36 hotels, mainly 4-star, across the UK, offering some 7,000 bedrooms.
