Global drinks manufacturer, Diageo has announced an innovative whisky division, Whiskey Union as the Scotch whisky market continues to grow and more experimental drinks are released.
The first two products, Smoky Goat and Boxing Hares, will trial in Germany, before being released globally.
Smoky Goat is blended from sweet grain, Highland malt and smoky Islay whiskies. The man who made Smoky Goat, Craig Wallace, describes that taste as a mountain of flavour. Those flavours range from the sweet and the soulful to the full bodied and the honey heathered, all brought together in a bonfire smoky blend.
Boxing Hares has been created by Pete Brewin by combining Scotch with specially selected hops. Together they deliver the intriguing taste of tropical fruits and citrus green notes, which pair remarkably well with the sweet honey taste of the Scotch Whisky. The flavour is alive with hops, malt, toffee, pineapple and cherry with an imperceptibly bitter hop finish.
There is a third product, The Mobsprey, which will be released soon.
