The operations director at Nando’s, John Nelson, is set to become the new chief executive of the Sir Charles Dunstone-backed venture, MOD Pizza.
Nelson has over 20 years experience in developing UK restaurant and retail concepts, and also held several positions with Dixons Stores Group.
Nelson will join the firm on 5 January and MOD Pizza’s first UK restaurant is set to open in the new year.
MOD (Made On Demand) has grown to 69 sites in America since its launch in 2008. This September, the company signed a joint venture agreement with Dunstone's firm, Freston Ventures.
