Lidl reveals new concept store in County Down


Discount supermarket chain, Lidl has unveiled its first new concept store in County Down, a branch in Banbridge that the firm has been revamping for five months.

The new look supermarket now has a new architectural design with a larger warehouse and wider aisles. The group said the building represented the future of Lidl stores in Northern Ireland, where it has a total of 38 supermarkets and 730 employees.

Glen Cinnamon, regional director for Lidl Northern Ireland, said, 'We will continue to invest in new stores and modernisations over the coming months and years, bringing the best of Northern Irish produce to customers in towns and cities right across the country.'
