Oakman Inns celebrates sales rise of 55% over festive period


Award-winning Oakman Inns and Restaurants has posted that total sales have risen by 55% to £2.1m for the four weeks ending 3 January 2016, with a like-for-like sales uplift of 11.8%.

Chief executive Peter Borg-Neal (pictured) said that the figures were boosted by an excellence Christmas period as festive offers proved popular with customers.

The group's 13 pubs averaged well over £40k net per site each week, with new acquisitions boosting the figures.

The numbers for the 39 weeks up to the end of quarter three show like-for-like sales up 6.2% and total sales of £14.5m, up 5% on the previous year.

Oakman Inns was founded by Borg-Neal in 2007 when he opened the Akeman in Tring. It is listed among the London Stock Exchange’s 1,000 Companies to Inspire Britain and claimed 28th place in this year’s The Sunday Times 100 Best Companies to Work For in the UK.
