The TRG-owned Brunning & Price pub group has acquired The Oakley House Country Club just outside Brewood in South Staffordshire.
Work to completely renovate the 19th century premises, which will be known as The Oakley when it reopens in April, is underway.
The Oakley had been on the market with a price of around £800k since 2011.
Brunning and Price, which operates almost 60 pubs, is looking to purchase another 10 sites this year.
