Gary Usher to launch new crowdfunding campaign for third restaurant

Chef Gary Usher is to launch a new £50k crowdfunding campaign to help fund his third restaurant, although he said he will need around £250k to open and will be seeking a bank for the extra monies.

Joining Usher's two other eateries, Sticky Walnut and Burnt Truffle, the 60-cover Hispi Bistro is set to open in Chorlton, south Manchester this summer.

Usher is to film a promotional video for the fund in February and then the bid is expected to launch on 1 March.

In 2014, Usher successfully raised £100k through crowdfunding for Burnt Truffle, reaching over £24k in just 24 hours, and exceeding the target in only 30 days.
