Allibhoy to open fifth Tapas Revolution in Meadowhall

Top Spanish chef Omar Allibhoy is bringing his popular tapas brand, Tapas Revolution, to Sheffield this March with a new restaurant in Meadowhall shopping centre.

The all-day menu is divided into five sections: El Picoteo - snacks, Jamón Y Queso - ham, Las Verduras - vegetables, Los Pescados - fish, and Las Carnes - meats. Diners can expect all the classic dishes, such as tortilla, croquetas de jamon, calamares, chorizo cooked in Asturian cider, freshly-made Churros, alongside some surprises of Allibhoy’s own creation.

There will be a selection of Spanish craft beers, an exclusive Spanish gin menu, and wine from a number of small Spanish producers served in Catalonian style with a porrón - a traditional wine glass pitcher with a long spout.

Allibhoy said, “Tapas Revolution in Meadowhall is my version of the tapas bars back home in Spain, that act as a social hub for the community as well as providing delicious traditional food.

“Sheffield has a great food scene that’s growing and is gaining a really positive reputation. I wanted to get involved in the buzz happening there and bring a real taste of Spain to the North of England.”

Alongside his four existing tapas bars in Birmingham, Shepherd’s Bush, Shoreditch and Kent, Allibhoy has written the Tapas Revolution cook book and has made numerous TV appearances including MasterChef, The One Show, Sunday Brunch and This Morning.
