Kudos scoops £15m deal with London Luton Airport

Crown-owned catering group, Kudos has clinched a seven-year deal with London Luton Airport (LLA), which is worth around £15m.

The caterer will provide a hotel-style lobby bar within the main terminal, offering passengers a relaxing dining space.

LLA is one of the UK’s largest airports and carried 10.5 million passengers in 2014, this increased by 16.9% to 12.3 million in 2015. The airport indirectly employs over 8,600 staff and is a key economic driver for the region.

In other Kudos news, the firm catered for HRH Prince Charles at the 50th anniversary of the Harrogate International Festivals – of which he is a patron – held at Harrogate International Centre.

The Prince and his wife, Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, were served a selection of locally influenced canapés including mini Yorkshire puddings with rare local beef and horseradish, and tartiflette with Yorkshire cheese and bacon. A variety of Harrogate’s famous cakes, sweets, mini teacakes, fondant fancies and carrot cupcakes were also available.
