Costa introduces two hot food & pudding brands to concept store


The UK's most popular UK coffee shop chain, Costa has launched a new range of hot lunch dishes and desserts at Costa Fresco, its London concept store.

Costa Fresco, on Tottenham Court Road, has introduced hot dishes from gourmet brand Charlie Bigham’s and handmade dessert creators, Cartmel.

The lunches include Charlie Bigham’s macaroni cheese, fish pie and lasagne, and the Cartmel desserts are sticky toffee pudding and sticky chocolate pudding,

Costa has introduced the new dishes in response to growing consumer interest in varied and high-quality lunch options.

Costa Coffee global brand and innovation director, Carol Welch said, “Our Costa Fresco store was inspired by the Costa brothers’ passion for delicious food so we’re proud to be working with Charlie Bigham’s and Cartmel to expand our menu.

'We know that our customers want quality food with their coffee, and we’re confident the addition of these delicious products to our menu will give them yet more choice and expand our hot food offer.”

A Charlie Bigham’s spokesperson commented, “We are delighted to partner with Costa Fresco and deliver top-quality hot food to customers. We feel that Charlie’s delicious dishes will make a superb addition to the handcrafted Fresco menu.”

A Cartmel spokesperson added, “Like Costa Fresco, we pride ourselves on creating delicious handcrafted puddings at Cartmel. All of our puds are made by hand from 100% natural ingredients and our famous sticky toffee pudding will be the perfect lunchtime treat or afternoon pick-me-up.”
