On The Wall Group, which operates Quill restaurant in Didsbury, has sold Chalk Bar and Grill to Mark Andrew Developments (MAD).
Bar and restaurant operator, MAD has bought the business on Wilmslow Road for an undisclosed sum and will take over from 21 March.
Chalk opened in May 2014 and was set up by Chris Longmate and his business partner Dominic Gottelier, and has one of the latest drinks licences in Didsbury.
MAD boss Mark Andrew said he doesn't plan to change the look or the menus of the 150-cover site, and the existing staff have been maintained as part of the deal.
MAD, which owns The Fitzgerald, Tusk and Walrus, and two Hula sites in the city centre and West Didsbury, plans to grow even further this year from its existing eight sites, including the completion of its redevelopment of Manchester's Habib House, into a huge events and social space.
