National Railway Museum sees Xmas party bookings double

The Christmas party season continues to go from strength to strength at the National Railway Museum in York, with the museum reporting more than double the amount of bookings for this year compared to this point in 2015.

The National Railway Museum currently has 658 Christmas parties booked compared to 300 at this time last year and the team are confident 2016 will be a very successful Christmas party season.

Last year, the museum served 4,383 covers over Christmas, a 25% increase on 2014. Following such a successful season, the NRM will once again be offering its ‘Night Train to Vegas’ and ‘Wonderland Express’ packages for 2016.

Running on selected dates in November and December 2016, ‘Night Train to Vegas’ offers party goers an arrival drink, luxury four-course deluxe menu, and a night of dazzling entertainment including a magician, showgirls, Vegas-style illusion and magic show, casino tables, as well as a DJ, disco and special Michael Jackson show.

‘Wonderland Express’ encompasses a delicious all-you-can-eat hot festive buffet and DJ entertainment for guests to dance the night away amongst the famous locomotives within Station Hall.

Michelle Rennoldson, Sales and Events Manager at the National Railway Museum, said, “We are already experiencing high demand for this year’s Christmas party packages at the museum, which is great to see. The Christmas party market has been going from strength to strength, as budgets have recovered, and we are looking ahead to another record year in 2016. With spaces for our packages already limited, we are encouraging companies to book early this year!”

Packages at the National Railway Museum are available for individual tickets or group bookings. Companies looking for a more bespoke Christmas party can hire the museum exclusively on available dates throughout December.
