A new 221-bedroom Hampton by Hilton is planned for Manchester, a first for the brand in the city.
Create Developments has applied for permission to build the split-level seven and nine-storey hotel on land in Ancoats, near the new NOMA neighbourhood.
The new hotel will offer three to four star accommodation, with a gym, bar and breakfast restaurant for guests as well as meeting room facilities and underground car parking.
Around 40 jobs would be created by the development according to the plans, which also point to the need for more hotel rooms to serve Manchester’s ‘well-established and growing leisure and tourism industry’.
