Cote opens £1m outlet in Peterborough

A new Cote restaurants has just opened in Peterborough located on Church Street, following refurbishing costing over £1m.

The French bistro-style restaurant, which has created 40 jobs, seats over 140 diners on the ground and first floors. There is an awning at the front of the building and seating for about a dozen diners outside.

Côte Restaurants CEO, Alex Scrimgeour said, “Our location places us right in the heart of the action; amongst old buildings with striking features, but also modern retail and fashionable restaurants. We are excited to be bringing something new to the area, offering further choice to this already thriving city. We feel confident that our combination of warm and welcoming service, simple, freshly prepared French food, and excellent value for money will be popular in Peterborough.”

The Cote menu offers authentic French classics, freshly cooked to order, using ingredients of the highest quality.

Corn-fed chickens from the heart of rural Brittany, pork rillettes and Charentais melons direct from the legendary Rungis market in Paris sit alongside classic ingredients such as English asparagus from Herefordshire, Breton tomatoes and mussels - featured on the menu only when the season allows.

The Specials menu changes monthly so that there is always something new to try including gems such as whole grilled lobster, côte de boeuf or scallops.

Lastly, there is the wine list, by working with small wine producers and co-operatives, our wine list from France is more extensive than most, offering interesting wines for very reasonable prices.
