More than a dozen talented hoteliers have become the first to complete a pioneering new development programme from leading hotel management company, Redefine BDL Hotels.
Seventeen department heads from across the company’s UK properties have graduated from the inaugural six-month intensive Pyramid Programme, aimed at fast-tracking talented employees into senior management positions.
As well as completing ongoing business objectives and undertaking continuous assessment, each candidate received a personal mentor throughout the programme.
Meanwhile, General Managers and Divisional Directors within the company also hosted regular masterclasses on key industry topics from profit to people.
The graduates are now eligible to begin applying for deputy leadership roles within the company’s portfolio of branded and independent hotels.

The scheme, devised by Niki Fincham, Redefine|BDL Hotels’ Group Learning and Development Manager, was launched in February 2016.
Fincham said, “The first programme has been a resounding success and the bar has been set high for next year’s intake.
“What’s more, we have now made a commitment to replicate this type of scheme for team members at different levels within the business which will ensure everyone has the opportunity to grow and develop within their roles.”
Redefine|BDL Hotels’ Pyramid Programme will launch again in January 2017, with applications opening in December 2016
