Sally Shadrack has taken over as chair of the Lead Association for CAtering in Education (LACA) from Peter McGrath.
The new LACA chair said, “Over the coming year LACA’s main focus is to gather robust data to provide evidence that UIFSM is a worthwhile policy and must be kept. We have to take the lead here as it’s our staff jobs and industry colleagues who could suffer if the policy is dropped.”
Shadrack is a development manager for Newham Partnership Working and took over as LACA chair on Monday at the organisation’s AGM.
LACA represents the School Food Industry and membership is open to all parties who make a contribution to this market sector - providers (public and private sector) client officers, consultants, suppliers and manufacturers. Individual schools may become members of the Association.
