Punch Commercial Director retires

Pub operator Punch Taverns has released a statement regarding the firm's Commercial Director John Healy’s departure from the business.

the statement reads as follows: 'After 30 years in the Pub industry, Punch Commercial Director John Healy has decided to retire from the business.

John will retain overall responsibility for the Punch Commercial team until the end of this calendar year and, during this time, will be introducing a new structure. From the start of 2017, the Commercial team will then report to Marketing Director Neil Macgeorge along with the existing Marketing team.

From January onwards, John will provide a supporting role to ensure a smooth transition of ways of working and processes in the new structure and, importantly, will also finalise our new distribution contract whilst developing and agreeing the future transition plans for this area. John’s last day with the business will be Thursday 6th April.'

Chief Executive Duncan Garrood commented, 'John is a dedicated member of the Executive Board and has made a hugely valuable contribution to the business over many years.

'All of us at Punch thank him for his contribution and wish him all the very best for his future retirement plans.'
