Healthy fast casual chain, Leon has appointed Nellie Nichols to its senior team as a new director of food.
Having worked for Leon in 2012, Nicholls will rejoin the firm early in the new year to manage the food team as they develop seasonal menus for restaurants in the UK and overseas.
John Vincent, co-founder and chief executive at Leon, said, “If you know Nellie you’ll understand why I’m so happy. Nellie and I worked on a significant development of the menu for two years from 2012 and it was a privilege. And always a lot of fun. She’s back and I’m strapping myself in.”
Nichols added, “I am very in love with Leon and always have been so I’m delighted to be going back to be part of its dynamic growth in 2017 and beyond.”
Nicholls has previously worked as Head of Food at Pret, and as Creative Designer at Hazlewood Foods. Her latest role has been operating her own food development agency, working with clients such as Marks & Spencer.
Her accolades include The Lifetime Achievement Award in 2009, The British Sandwich Industry Award, and listed in The Top 100 Most Influential Women in Industry, in the Top 10 in Food by The Daily Mail.
