Kudos Delivered caters for elderly guests at Young at Heart event

Office and events caterer, Kudos Delivered, catered for 84 elderly people at the Coin Street Community Builders (CSCB) annual Young at Heart event on Friday 6 January for the second year running.

The community event, which is run by CSCB - a development trust and social enterprise based in London's South Bank - saw volunteers from Kudos Delivered, the London School of Economics and the local area work together to serve up a three course Christmas dinner to guests.

The festive menu included a starter of butternut squash soup followed by a traditional turkey roast dinner with stuffing, Cumberland pigs in blankets, roast potatoes and sautéed vegetables for the main course, finished off with sticky toffee and banana pudding, hot drinks and mince pies.

The Young at Heart event is managed by the community programmes team at CSCB and has been running for 17 years.

Ieva Dirsiene, Sales and Events Manager at CSCB, commented, “For the third year in a row, Kudos Delivered has generously provided a hot three course dinner for our Young at Heart party. The event is in its 17th year and is very important for Coin Street; attended by over 80 local residents and guests from the local community it was a great opportunity for people to meet and enjoy themselves.

“The indulgent food was greatly received by guests and the service was lovely. We received many compliments from our elderly guests praising the quality of the food that was provided. So thank you to Kudos Delivered for sponsoring this event, we look forward to continuing to work with them in 2017”.

Eva Garrett, General Manager at Kudos Delivered, said, “It is a great pleasure for our Kudos Delivered staff to team up with the Coin Street crew and host such a great event. We all are very hands-on here at Kudos Delivered and when it comes to service, we don’t mind rolling up our sleeves to support a good cause!
