Nicholson’s pubs launches Whisky Showcase today


A division of Mitchells & Butlers, Nicholson’s pubs has launched its inaugural Whisky Showcase today across the UK.

With gin crowned the overwhelming champion of 2016, Nicholson’s Pubs are focusing on highlighting their range of whiskies this winter and are using it to enable guests to explore the traditional Scottish spirit and discover new and old favourites in their local pub.

The Whisky Showcase will be a month-long celebration of all things whisky, and over 30 whiskies will be available in Nicholson’s Pubs until 19 February as part of the showcase. Each pub will be bringing whisky to the forefront during the showcase through events and masterclasses taking place across the Nicholson’s portfolio throughout the month-long showcase.

Annette Middleton, Marketing Manager of Nicholson’s Pubs, said, “Our Whisky Showcase aims to not only show off the great range of whiskies we have behind our bars, but to educate and entertain our guests, and create more intrigue and excitement about whisky.

“We’re pleased to be working in partnership with several suppliers, which are coming together to create masterclasses and experiences within our pubs across the UK, and we can’t wait to introduce our guests to the world of whisky.”

Nicholson’s Pubs is also one of the first brands to be launch Fever Tree’s Madagascan Cola, which is a rich blend of citrus & spice from around the world, including Madagascan Vanilla and Nigerian Kola Nut. Perfectly crafted to compliment whisky, it is the ideal choice for whisky beginners.

With suppliers including Diageo, William Grant, Fever-Tree and Maxxium lined up to host a series of masterclasses and events, Nicholson’s Pubs aims to fully immerse guests into the world of whisky.
