Norton Canes c-store introduces new Subway outlet

The Midcounties Co-operative Food has created 16 new jobs after opening a new Subway outlet at its Norton Canes store, following a £200k investment.

Introducing the new 2000 sq.ft. popular fast-food outlet gives Norton Canes shoppers more choice when looking for food-to-go, including sandwiches and salads, within a store that has traditionally been a popular lunchtime stop for local residents.

The store, on Brownhills Road, has been renovated with a modern new look to showcase the products it offers, including a ‘Best of Our Counties’ range that supports 16 local suppliers.

As a result of the investment, the store has doubled its number of colleagues and underlines The Midcounties Co-operative’s commitment to providing the local community with a wide range of services.

Terri Price, manager at The Midcounties Co-operative Food in Norton Canes, said: “Subway is a very popular fast food outlet but there hasn’t been one in Norton Canes until now, so we’re pleased to bring it to the area. We hope that our customers will enjoy the delicious products that Subway offers, and the great new look of the store.

“We’re committed to investing in the community and the Subway outlet has created new job opportunities for local people in the area. We’re looking forward to welcoming the new additions to our team.”
