D&D London’s #BlossomCity season to spring back this May

Following the success of last year’s #BlossomCity campaign, restaurant group D&D London will once again celebrate the arrival of spring with a range of flower-inspired menus, cocktails and floral installations throughout its London restaurants.

Sponsored by luxury champagne producers Moet & Chandon and London fashion boutique Beulah, the #BlossomCity initiative will showcase the vibrant colours and flavours of the new season and will be running from 2 May until the end of June.

This year, City favourite, Coq d’Argent has partnered with One Part Plant to offer gluten and soy free plant-based dishes as part of the One Part Plant restaurant programme. Founded by nutritional adviser Jessica Murnane, the programme aims to encourage guests to enjoy at least one purely plant- based meal daily and reap the benefits in taste and nutrition. One Part Plant inspired dishes will also be available at Bluebird, Radici, Skylon and Blueprint Cafe´.

Bluebird in Chelsea will be transformed into ‘Bluebird in Bloom’ with floral installations throughout and a specially designed cocktail menu inspired by the scents of Jo Loves fragrances, including Jo Loves’ signature citrus scent Pomelo, and the floral No.42 The Flower Shop.

Mai^tre Choux has also created a selection of bespoke floral eclairs which will form part of a Chelsea Flower Show themed afternoon tea, with donations being made to The Royal Hospital Chelsea charity who support The Chelsea Pensioners. Quaglino’s, girl power baking heavyweights, the Meringue Girls, will be hosting rainbow coloured meringue masterclasses alongside a martinis and meringues pop-up dessert bar featuring perfectly paired recipes.

Each terrace will be transformed into a verdant oasis, adorned with fresh flower decorations and will provide a city garden escape from the hustle and bustle of London life. Flora will be brought inside with the addition of grand flowered installations at German Gymnasium, Quaglino’s, Angler and recently launched Nordic-French restaurant Aster, which will showcase plants and flowers featured on the spring menus.

Food menus across the restaurants will offer guests a full sensory experience, focusing on floral flavours, scents and garnishes. In addition, London based jewellery designer Alex Monroe, together with luxury sunglasses brand Taylor Morris, will sponsor #BlossomCity brunch parties which will be held at various locations throughout the warmer months.

Each bar team has curated a list of spring-inspired cocktails, featuring flowery flavours and garnishes.
