Seasoned marks 30 year milestone at Guildhall with contract extension

London event caterer, Seasoned has once again secured approved caterer status at Guildhall, signifying the venue as its longest successive contract listing.

Seasoned considers the venue as its ‘jewel in their crown,’ forging a strong, special relationship spanning over three decades, making it Seasoned’s longest running venue listing.

To be considered for the listing, the caterer was subject to a tender process which they successfully passed, to see them join a total of 15 other caterers on Guildhall’s highly competitive suppliers list for 2018-2020.

Home to the City of London Corporation for over 800 years, Guildhall offers seven wonderful event spaces and is home to royal occasions, banquet dinners for visiting heads of states and receptions celebrating national anniversaries alongside a variety of corporate and private events including conferences, banquets, dinners and receptions, all of which Seasoned has catered for during its tenure at the premises.

In 2016, Seasoned catered for a myriad of corporate and private events including the Royal Anniversary Prizes Dinner for over 400 guests, a dinner for the Government of Gibraltar for over 300 invited guests, a lunch for Standard Chartered Bank for over 500 guests and a graduation ceremony for the BPP University which saw the caterer provide breakfast and lunch for VIP guests alongside food and beverages for two drinks receptions for over 1,000 guests.

Colin Sayers, Managing Partner of Seasoned who has managed events at the venue with Seasoned for over 18 years said: “Winning this tender through constant food innovation and exceeding a 30 year milestone at such a highly prestigious venue is a remarkable achievement for us at Seasoned and one we would love to continue for another 30 years.”

Sayers continued, “To this day, Guildhall still provides the wonder it did when we first started catering here and it has become a second home for us; the venue (and its clients) expect the highest quality of catering and our prestigious venue portfolio demonstrates this once again.”

The iconic building located on Gresham Street has played a vital part in London’s history. During the middle-ages, Guildhall was used as a court for the ruling merchant class which saw laws and regulations fine-tuned to help establish London’s wealth; the venue is still used for official functions to this day with the prestigious Lord Mayor’s Banquet being held by each new Lord Mayor of the City of London.
