Flip Out celebrates super successful first year of Southampton branch

Trampoline park chain, Flip Out is celebrating the success of it Southampton branch - Hampshire’s biggest trampoline park - with visitor numbers higher than expected during its first year of opening.

More than 150,000 jumpers have bounced at Flip Out Southampton and a special birthday celebration was held at the attraction in Chandlers Ford, which recently launched a new climbing wall and 6m long slack line, which is similar to a tightrope.

The climbing wall is fitted to the wall runners above the trampolines allowing keen clamberers to navigate the obstacle safe in the knowledge there’s a bouncy landing below.

The slack line stretches across part of the foam pit area and offers a test of nerve and balance to those attempting to cross it.

The new features are added to the 23,000 sq. ft. attraction which includes free running walls, slam dunk basketball, kids’ and adults’ foam pits, a 15m tumble track and around a hundred trampolines.

Ryan Wootton, manager at Flip Out Southampton, said, “It’s been a fantastic year and even better than we anticipated. In fact we opened a second Flip Out in Chichester in February which is already proving a popular addition to the town.

“We know the need to keep the arena fresh and to introduce new features like the climbing wall and slack line.

“We’ve been running the Kaboom Kids Club during the holidays and we’re really excited about launching the Team Lightning trampoline club classes.

“Later this month we’re also welcoming the Britain’s Got Talent team for auditions at Flip Out Southampton. Finding a star act would be the perfect birthday present!”

There’s free parking and The Pizza Oven Café which is open to everyone and not just those in for a bounce.
