Nisa Heritage chilled ready meals experience continued growth


Nisa’s Heritage chilled ready meals have been an area of significant growth for the own label brand for several years and show no signs of slowing down.

Sales of Heritage own label ready meals grew by 15.7% in value and 21% in volume terms over the 52 weeks to the end of May, with strong performers including traditional comfort foods Macaroni Cheese and Beef Stew and Dumplings.

The award-winning Heritage range includes a total of 27 ready meals comprising consumer favourites in the form of traditional British, Italian, Indian and Oriental meal solutions to cater for every taste and budget. The range also incorporates three ‘Meal for 2’ 800g meals, including the newly added family favourite, Beef Lasagne.

All Heritage core ready meals are price-marked at ‘Any 2 for £5’ and can be mixed and matched with the popular Heritage pizza range, providing busy consumers with a simple meal for tonight solution that also offers value and quality, whilst offering strong margins to retailers.
