Magpie launches breakfast menu

After opening its doors earlier this summer, Magpie is set to launch an early morning menu bringing breakfast to Heddon Street this September.

From 4 September, weekday mornings will see Magpie’s trolley weave its way through the restaurant laden with their take of breakfast staples. Straight off the trolley, guests can choose from granolas accompanied by flavoured milks and yogurts and fresh homemade pastries including a red-eye bun with bacon, coffee and maple syrup.

Elsewhere on the menu will be fermented potato bagels with hoisin-cured pork belly plus roasted miso almond croissant and a yuzu kosho blueberry oat muffin.

Bar manager Rikesh Patel has put together a list of breakfast cocktails each with a Magpie twist, including their take on the Bloody Mary which combines tomato, lemon, pedro ximenez, tabasco, Worcestershire sauce, porter and oyster on the half shell.

Coffee will come from North London based roasters Vagabond, with teas from Good & Proper in Clerkenwell.

James Ramsden and Sam Herlihy, co-founders of the Michelin-starred restaurant Pidgin, in Hackney, opened the doors to Magpie on Heddon Street in July. Inspired by traditional dim-sum style service, guests can choose dishes from trolleys and trays as they make their way through the restaurant.
