Michelin-starred Angler launches autumnal menu

Executive Chef Gary Foulkes of Michelin-starred restaurant Angler has created a ‘Taste of Autumn’ menu to welcome in the new season.

Available Monday to Friday for dinner only, the 4-course set menu showcases the seasonal produce of autumn.

The meal opens with a selection of canapes for the table, as well as a complimentary glass of Champagne. This is followed by Heritage potato soup with Cornish mussels, parsley and smoked kelp, and Newlyn cod accompanied by parsley root, Cornish squid and chanterelles.

To finish, diners will be able to enjoy a Baked yoghurt with Provence figs, Concord grape and toasted caraway.

Perched at the top of South Place Hotel, Angler showcases sustainable seafood from British waters. Although known for sensational seafood, vegetarians and carnivores are also well catered and the best seasonal and local produce.

Executive Chef, Gary Foulkes’ picture-perfect plates and the extensive wine list have established Angler a destination dining experience.

Foulkes has 12 years’ experience of cooking and working in some of the UK’s most highly-acclaimed establishments. Beginning his career under the guidance of Richard Neat and Gary Rhodes, he has also held positions at The Vineyard at Stockcross and William Drabble’s Aubergine.

Foulkes then progressed to head chef at The Square, the two Michelin-starred Anglo-French restaurant in Mayfair, prior to taking the helm of Angler in April 2016.
