From 18 September, Francesco Mazzei’s Islington trattoria, Radici, will be opening its doors for the first time on Mondays.
To celebrate the launch of the restaurant being open 7 days a week, Mazzei and the team will be giving away the first 50 pizzas for free on Monday 18 and Monday 25 September, available on a first come first serve basis from 5pm.
Guests will be able to choose from pizzas such as the Calabrese with ‘nduja and chilli; Siciliana with aubergine and smoked ricotta; or the classic Margherita.
Furthermore, the restaurant will also be launching Mazzei Mondays to celebrate Francesco’s idea of a perfect evening: a pizza and a Peroni shared with family and friends. This sharing pizza night will take place every Monday from 18 September to 30 October, offering guests a Peroni or spritz each and a pizza to share for £10pp (when purchased in multiples of two).
Francesco Mazzei opened Radici in early 2017, bringing an authentic Italian trattoria to Islington, the area of London he has made his home. The restaurant offers the Calabrian and southern Italian cuisine of Francesco’s heritage, all served in a relaxed environment alongside a carefully selected list of southern Italian wines, and a concise list of cocktails from resident mixologist Simone Caporale.
