Grand Central Hotel Glasgow unveils revamped Champagne bar

A new look for one of Glasgow’s finest establishments has just been revealed as Grand Central Hotel takes the wrap off a sparkling six-figure makeover.

The iconic hotspot, overlooking Central Station in the heart of Glasgow’s style mile, has undergone a lavish refurbishment, to relaunch its iconic bar. Former Miss Scotland and TV presenter, Jennifer Reoch (pictured) also joined the team to celebrate the opening.

Over the years, many famous faces have graced the bar with the likes of Frank Sinatra and Fred Astaire previously enjoying a tipple or two in the venue.

As part of the opulent refurbishment, Champagne Central has upgraded its décor, created luxury new seating areas, exclusive booths, beautiful marble tables and an extended bar to cater for its extensive Champagne and gin offering, and a striking new graphic identity.

Also on the menu is a brand new cocktail list that allows guests to sit, sip and while away the hours, appreciating the splendid surroundings. The accompanying bar food menu includes Champagne afternoon tea as well as sharing boards and perianal favourites to enjoy with friends.

The original domed ceiling, marble floors and regal pillars have been accentuated by the recent works, enhancing the character and making Champagne Central the perfect blend of a 21st century hotel bar with a nod to its rich heritage.

Graeme Gibson, General Manager of Grand Central Hotel, said, “Champagne Central has undergone a remarkable refurbishment and the results will enhance its reputation as one of the city’s most popular meeting places.

“Our guests love the elegance of Champagne Central and the investment will make their experience all the more special. Our extended food and drink menus take the venue up a gear and we look forward to welcoming guests in the coming weeks as they experience the luxurious surroundings.”
