Timmy Green launches bottomless Peter Blake-inspired afternoon tea

Contemporary Australian all-day dining venue Timmy Green has just launched a unique new bottomless Pop Art Afternoon Tea as part of the series inspired by the work of legendary pop artist Peter Blake, the creative talent behind the famous album sleeve for the Beatles’ bestselling Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band.

Served on limited edition Peter Blake designed fine bone china crockery sets, guests can sample a selection of mini sandwiches, with flavour combinations ranging from Scottish smoked salmon, cream cheese, caper berries, pickled red onion and dill on dark rye, to fresh strawberries, mascarpone, aged balsamic glaze and micro basil on activated charcoal sourdough and Coronation chicken, sultanas, mango, spinach and almonds on wholemeal.

Freshly baked plain and date scones come served with lashings of Cornish clotted cream and organic strawberry preserve.

The new afternoon tea also features a platter of delightful pop art influenced desserts including an orange polenta Heart, a pink lamington Square plus a fresh raspberry and milk chocolate mousse Bomb.

Those looking to settle in and make the most of the laid-back Aussie vibe option can enjoy unlimited prosecco for up to two hours. Tea lovers can take their pick from nine tea infusions by award-winning artisans Good and Proper Tea, and a choice of perfectly-executed coffees from fellow Aussies The Roasting Party are also available including V60 and cafetiere options.

The launch of the new menu offering coincides with the 50th anniversary of the Beatles’ seminal album Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band and its notable cover image by Peter Blake. It is the first in a series of exciting collaborations between the prominent British pop artist and the much-loved Australian independent the Daisy Green collection.
